In 2006 we left the TV station and went it on our own. Producing the series now became a job, an all encompassing job. Not only did we have to film the show, but we also had to sell the commercials in all ten markets plus keep searching for serious sponsors and future locations. We were forced to cut back to five (5) markets.
In 2007, we made the decision after negotiating with Versus and the Outdoor channel, to leave broadcast affiliates and move to National Cable Television. It was time to change the format and rely on our celebrity Host, Donald Trump Jr. It was our plan to have Don Jr. fish on at least eight of the thirteen weeks series and make cameos on the remaining five shows. Work began on the series and we were nearly half way through the series when scheduling conflicts with Don Jr’s other TV obligations brought us to a halt

Now anyone who thinks that negotiating with Cable networks in any way resembles being paid to produce a TV series you are sadly mistaken. We foot the bill for everything and then work on getting paid later (either by selling commercials or getting the network to buy the show). Initially we talked to the Networks about producing two Series. One for Versus and one for the Outdoor Channel.
Since we were bogged down on the series “Outdoors on the Fly” We decided to start filming our new series “Fly Fishing Top-2-Bottom” hosted by Joe Humphreys and Me, along with other celebrity guests in Joe’s absence. This was going to be a Globe Trekker and in 2008 immediately after filming shows in Arkansas, Tennessee and the Bahamas we departed for a protracted series of shows. For three months we filmed in Chile, Argentina and Brasil. The proof is in our efforts. So in April of this year we will be seen 4 nights week on the “Sportsmans Channel”.
